IPL: Dhoni's favorite player's career is over! CSK will retain these players in the next season

In the final of IPL 2021, CSK team won their fourth title by defeating KKR by 27 runs. This team, under the captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, looked brilliant throughout the tournament and every one of its players gave their full contribution till the end. But next season this team is going to change completely because there will be mega auction before IPL 2022. In which each team will be able to retain only 4 players.

Is this player's career over?

It is very difficult for CSK to see their greatest player Suresh Raina play next season. CSK did not even give him a place in the final of IPL 2021. Robin Uthappa was replaced in his place. Raina has been going through poor form for some time now. Due to this, he was kept out of the last few matches. But now it is clear that CSK will not retain Raina in the next season. Raina is considered Dhoni's most loved player but now Captain Cool himself is not ready to give him a chance.

These 4 players can be retained

Suresh Raina's name is very difficult to come by in the four players that CSK is going to retain next year. First of all, CSK will retain captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The name of Rituraj Gaikwad at number two is almost certain. At the same time, the name of Faf du Plessis can also come at number three. At the same time, the fourth name will be of Ravindra Jadeja. But it does not seem possible that Raina should have one name among these four players.

Known as Mr IPL

Suresh Raina is known all over the world by the name of Mr. IPL and the reason behind this has been that his record in IPL has been excellent. He has played 205 matches in this league in which he has scored 5528 runs at an average of 32.51 and strike rate of 136.76. He is second only to Virat Kohli in terms of scoring the most runs in the tournament. But this year he scored just 160 runs in 12 matches at an average of 17.77 and a strike rate of 125.00. Although he has also made a fifty this year, but his performance has not been consistent.

IPL career heading towards the end

34-year-old Suresh Raina announced his retirement from international cricket when Dhoni said goodbye to cricket. Things are not going well for Raina, so it may be that Suresh Raina can announce his retirement from IPL as soon as the season ends. With the kind of form Raina has shown this entire season, one thing is almost clear that he will not show any interest in buying any team next year. In such a situation, his IPL career is moving towards the end.
